The village of La Leccia Leccia-Castelnuovo Val di Cecina The town and castle of La Leccia are isolated on a rocky hill located between the river Cornia and Val di Cecina, surrounded by forests of cork oaks and holm oaks. The history of this country is linked to that of Volterra, in particular the dispute between the municipality and the bishops of Volterra. Today La Leccia maintains the appearance of an ancient village with old buildings and ruins of a tower located in the western spur of the cylinder walls.
